Een goede stoelgang
Ook wel bekend als magnesiumsulfaat en in de boeken van Hulda Clark aangeduid als 'Epsom salts'.
De naam 'Epsom salts' dateert reeds uit 1695. In de 17e eeuw maakte de aanwezigheid van deze bijzondere zoutlagen het engelse plaatsje Epsom het beroemdste kuuroord van Engeland. De faam van Epsom strekte zich in die tijd zelfs uit tot de rest van Europa. Dat Epsom salt rijk is aan magnesium werd trouwens pas aan het begin van de 19e eeuw ontdekt.
Bitterzout is een natuurlijk zout dat voorkomt in zeewater, sedimenten van zoutmeren en in mineralen in kalksteen. Het bevordert de natuurlijke stoelgang al bij inname van kleine hoeveelheden.
Bitterzout is een traditioneel huismiddel bij klachten van het bewegingsapparaat. Toegevoegd aan het badwater of als compres lokaal toegepast, houdt het spieren en gewrichten soepel.
