Wat is Indhana?
Indhana (Artemisia absinthium) is de Sanskriet naam voor Absint of Alsem. Deze plant is inheems in Europa, Noord-Afrika en West-Azië. In Noord-Amerika komt Absint ook voor, maar van oorsprong is het hier niet inheems.
Het kruid wordt op grote schaal verbouwd voor de bladeren, stengels en bloemknoppen. De bloemknoppen worden gebruikt in de drank vermouth (of vermout).
