L-Ornithine is een aminozuur dat door het lichaam zelf kan worden aangemaakt. L-Ornithine is belangrijk omdat het de aanzet geeft tot de afgifte van groeihormoon, dat de vetverbranding verbetert en de vetabsorptie vermindert. L-Ornithine is verder van belang voor een correct functionerend immuunsysteem en een goede leverfunctie.
In het Clark-programma wordt L-Ornithine gebruikt om de afvoer van ammoniak te ondersteunen en de nachtrust te bevorderen. L-Ornithine wordt hierbij een half uur voor het slapengaan ingenomen. De aanvangsdosering van 2 capsules kan worden aangepast aan de diepte van de slaap, met een maximum van 6 capsules. Na het herstel van een goede nachtrust de inname stoppen. L-Ornithine is een lichaamseigen stof die ook in onze voeding voorkomt.
