Rascal bevat 5 werkzame spijsverteringskruiden. Pompoenzaad, knoflook en tijm wordenvan oudsher gebruikttegen ongewenste gasten in het voedsel. Al eeuwenlang gebruiken kruidenkenners capsicum en tijm om de vertering en de stoelgang te verbeteren. Indianenstammen kenden cramp bark (Gelderse roos) vanwege zijn ontspannende invloed op de darmen.
