"Trikatu" betekent letterlijk "Drie scherpe kruiden". Trikatu combineert dan ook de werkingen van gember (Zingiber officinale), zwarte peper (Piper nigrum) en lange peper (Piper longum). Deze kruiden verhogen de stofwisseling en breken stofwisselingsslakken af. Omdat Trikatu ook slijmvorming vermindert, zorgt het middel tevens voor vrijer ademen.
Trikatu zorgt voor een goede spijsvertering, een goede opname van voedingsstoffen en heeft een gunstige invloed op de bloedsomloop.
