Als calciumsascorbaat is vitamine C gekoppeld aan het mineraal calcium, waardoor het pH-neutraal en daarmee een stuk vriendelijker is voor het gevoelige milieu in de maag, maar ook voor het glazuur van de tanden. Bovendien blijft vitamine C in deze vorm langer in het lichaam aanwezig en wordt het beter opgenomen.
Hulda Clark adviseert bij elke maaltijd een vierde theelepel (ca. 1 gram) te nemen. Aan vruchtensappen en voedsel in de koelkast kan een achtste theelepel vitamine C worden toegevoegd.
